Avante Capital Partners provided capital to support Crescentia Capital’s acquisition of Underwater Construction Corporation (UCC), a commercial diving and underwater construction services company. The transaction closed in August 2026.
Founded in 1969, UCC provides commercial diving, inspection, maintenance, and marine construction services to customers in nuclear, fossil, and hydroelectric power generation, water utilities, transportation, and other industrial sectors. The company operates with more than 200 full-time field personnel, including certified commercial divers, dive supervisors, and project managers, across regional locations in the United States and the United Kingdom. UCC is an ADCI certified dive contractor and holds ISNetworld RAVS Plus Participant status, reflecting its commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards. Its work supporting mission-critical infrastructure, including nuclear facilities and hydroelectric dams, made it a strong fit for Avante’s focus on established, lower middle market businesses with durable customer relationships.
Crescentia Capital is building UCC into a consolidated underwater services platform through organic growth and bolt-on acquisitions, with the goal of establishing a national leader in underwater infrastructure services. Avante structured the financing to meet Crescentia’s timeline and support the acquisition alongside the sponsor’s equity. Chelsea Celistan, Principal, served as Deal Captain on the transaction.
“The UCC team has spent years earning the trust of its customers doing some of the most demanding work in the industry. What they’ve built is rare, and with the depth and caliber of experience now around the table, we see real opportunity to take this business to the next level. We’re proud to partner with management, Crescentia, and GCI on the road ahead.”

Avante congratulates the teams at UCC and Crescentia Capital on the closing and looks forward to supporting the company’s continued growth.
