Omar Abou-Sayed’s >30-year career spans the global private equity, venture capital, energy and industrials space. For 20 years, he was a founder and entrepreneur during which time he founded two venture backed startups in the industrial space, Advantek Waste Management Services, where he now serves as Chairman, and Vaulted Deep, where he is a director. The companies he founded have won numerous accolades, including Inc Magazine’s Best in Business, Time Magazine’s Top Greentech companies, Global Cleantech 100, and finalist for the X-Prize. He advises or has invested in numerous early-stage and lower middle market companies and venture funds. In 2025, Inc Magazine named him one of the Business Leaders of the Year.
Omar holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He is also a member of the faculty at Rice University in the Jones School of Business.
