Lamar Horne is a Principal at Avante Capital Partners, where he is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, execution, and oversight of investment opportunities. He joined Avante in 2025.
Lamar brings more than 17 years of experience in private equity and structured capital. Before joining Avante, he served as a Managing Director at Palladium Heritage, focusing on leveraged buyouts and portfolio management in the lower middle market. Prior to Palladium, Lamar was a Managing Director at PNC Mezzanine Capital, investing subordinated debt and equity across a broad range of industries including niche manufacturing, distribution, and business services. He began his career as an investment banking analyst in the Leveraged Finance Group at Wachovia Securities.
Lamar earned a B.A. from Morehouse College and an M.B.A. from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. He lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife and three children.
