Avante Capital Partners Announces Promotions and New Hires

Los Angeles, CA (July 2021) – Avante Capital Partners is pleased to announce the following promotions: Sylvester (Sly) Burley to Principal and Danielle Williams to Analyst. Avante also welcomes three new additions to the team: Nicole Vatter as Vice President, Emily Yin as Analyst and Danielle Rosales as Executive Assistant.

Team Promotions and New Hires

Sylvester (Sly) Burley has been promoted from Vice President to Principal. Sly has over ten years of middle-market debt and equity experience. He joined Avante in 2019 from Bregal Investments where he advised on the origination, execution, management and operation of investments across the mid-market infrastructure and energy sectors. Prior to Bregal, he held positions at Basalt Infrastructure Partners, Riverstone Holdings and J.P. Morgan. Sly graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University. 

Nicole Vatter joins as Vice President. Nicole brings nine years of finance experience into Avante. Prior to Avante, she worked at Partners Group, a Direct Lending fund based in Denver where she was responsible for underwriting, closing, and managing middle market credit investments. Prior to Partners Group, she held positions at PIMCO and PwC. Nicole graduated cum laude from the University of California, Irvine, and holds an MBA with honors from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Danielle Williams has been promoted from Executive Assistant to Analyst. Danielle joined Avante in 2019 and was involved in the firms’ project management, event planning and marketing activities. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Management degree from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. She was a student athlete on the Michigan Women’s Basketball team for four years.

 

Emily Yin joins as Analyst. Emily started at Avante in 2020 as a summer intern in Avante’s Small Business Investing Scholars Program. Prior to Avante, she worked as a Strategic Planning Intern at Gilead Sciences and as a Research Assistant at ANP Technologies and the USC Keck School of Medicine. Emily graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Global Health. 

 

Danielle Rosales joins as Executive Assistant. Danielle graduated from the University of Southern California.  Prior to joining Avante, she held administrative and coordinator roles in the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music and Donaldson + Callif, LLP Law Firm.
